    • Culture

      An appreciation for diversity and the world around us is fostered by the study of life science, physical science, earth science, geography and history. Sensorial globes, world puzzle maps, flags and geographical land formations enable the child to be more interested in and identify with their surrounding.

    • Practical Life

      The exercises will prepare the child for all other areas of the curriculum, with order, concentration, coordination and independence. Practical life exercises include pouring, sorting, care of self and care of environment. These exercises lay the foundation for all the other areas in the Montessori classroom

    • Sensorial

      Sensorial material help children refine their senses. Children will learn to differentiate between color, sizes, textures, sounds, weights, odors and tastes. Sensorial materials will lead the child from sensations to ideas; from concrete to abstract and to association of ideas

    • Mathematics

      Montessori uses concrete materials to introduce abstract concepts through the use of beads, spindle boxes and number charts. These materials give the child sequential understanding of mathematical concepts. The children learn linear counting and recognition of numerals, which then leads to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division concepts.

    • Language

      Language development begins with lesson in basic skills of vocabulary awareness and usage. Initial sounds are introduced through sandpaper letters and matching objects. After the children learn a few sounds, they are then introduced to blending exercises through movable alphabets and phonetic objects. The metal insets are used to refine pencil control and help to improve pencil skills.

  • Our Classes

    Our preschool program provides best of both religion and world education.

  • We provide three classes with nine to twenty children each aged three years to six years of age.

    • The school’s curriculum has been designed so that when a child begins his education at age 3 and by the time he reaches  Kindergarten or First grade, he or she would have memorized the Juz Amma of the Quran.
    • Each child will learn in the light of Quran and Fatemi philosophy and through an Islamic perspective. By doing so, he or she will be exposed to deeni knowledge, customs, and beliefs.

  • All teachers must complete an exclusive training series developed specifically for Burhani Montessori. We provide ongoing training and coaching about health and safety standards, curriculum and classroom practices, developmental guidelines and enrichment programs so the teachers can provide excellent care to children.
